Absolutely beautiful! It’s a keeper for me. Flavours spot on, pork nice and tender, I added a tricolor of peppers and pineapple pieces oh and a small amount of carrot. Look foward to making more of your recipes.

I would use 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine instead of the egg. It adds nice flavor to the marinade, also liquid so it forms a thin coating after you add the cornstarch.

My other half loves sweet and sour from our local restaurants. The whole family thought this was better! Cooking in a cast iron skillet for the pork and finishing the rest in a wok worked well for me. Thankyou so much for a superbly communicated recipe.

This method for cooking crispy meat is absolutely perfect! I used my large cast iron skillet and followed the recipe to the letter. My entire family was pleased with the result. This one is a keeper! Excited to try the chicken version next.

Even my overly picky 12 year old loved this dish. I tossed in some slivered red peppers and served it with some blanched water spinach with garlic. Great dish, perfect crust, not greasy or overly sweet.

I’m afraid not this one. The texture of the pork will be soggy and this dish will taste so much better if the pork is crispy.
