This was amazing! Flavor profile was on point. Were posted in Africa, so I had to substitute the peppercorns and it was still a hit with my family. This will make it on the table every two weeks or so! (Family request right there!)

Bang bang shrimp (from Bonefish Grill) is not an Asian dish. But it is delicious. There are lots of copycat recipes in the internet.

Awesome recipe!! My wife, who is Chinese, ate all of it in one sitting. Definitely a keeper. For a clear sauce, I replace the sesame paste with sesame oil. Also, I noticed that you photos had sesame seeds,but your ingredient list does indicate the addition of any sesame seeds so, I toasted some and mixed into the sauce. I toasted some fresh szechan peppercorns and ground for a very fresh numbing tingle effect. Thank you for this great dish.

Absolutely delicious! 很好吃！ I made this and ate it for dinner with sliced cucumber and steamed rice. So flavorful. The only change I made was that I didn’t have Chinese sesame paste, so I substituted a 50/50 mix of natural peanut butter and tahini. (Well, and, I did add more chili oil on top and one more garlic clove in the sauce, cuz that’s how I roll. LOL)

This will be in regular rotation at my house. It’s a perfect dish for summertime, although I’m sure I’ll be eating it year round!

You mentioned there’s a version of this made with a peanut sauce. Do you also have a recipe for that version? I’ve been trying to find one like that for a while now.

AMAZING recipe! I have made this dish 4 times already since finding it. I ordered good quality Szechuan peppercorns which makes a TON of a difference in the flavor (less aggressive tingle and more nuance). It is a crowd pleaser for sure. I have served it with butter lettuce leaves (eaten like a little taco) as well as have used the leftovers over simple noodles.
