Made this again last week, a definite hit. Because they looked good at the market, I added some oyster mushrooms and they worked well. I don’t get to make this often because I’m an American expat living in France and the noodles are impossible to come by here, so I toss a couple bags in my luggage after a visit to the States.

The recipe does contain quite a bit of cornstarch, and it only takes a few seconds for the sauce to thicken. If the sauce is too thick, the best way is to reduce the cornstarch to 1 1/2 tablespoons. It properly takes a bit longer to thicken the sauce, but it should give you a lighter thinner sauce.

This dish had great flavor, but I somehow my sauce came out “goopy.” Almost like there was too much cornstarch. I followed the recipe exactly and used the same noodles. Any suggestions? Definitely want to try again
