Dear Maggie, While serving in the Air Force many years ago, I lived in Taiwan for two years. Not only was I able to enjoy authentic Chinese dishes, but I also learned how to prepare everything from rice to stir fried dishes, to how to use my bamboo steamer. I am so glad to have found your website as it reminded me of how much I used to enjoy preparing and eating all those great tasting and healthy dishes. You inspired me to get out my wok and start cooking again. My wok is now in use constantly and I finally had to replace the 40 year old rice steamer I bought in Taiwan. Your recipes are fantastic and although I haven’t forgotten the preparation techniques I learned years ago, it is fun and informative to watch your prep videos. One suggestion I would like to make is to either skip the music during the videos as it overrides your voice or to at least turn it lower. Thanks again for inspiring me to get out my wok and start having fun preparing your dishes.

Thank you for sharing the wonderful places in NY Chinatown. Also, for your recipes. Originally from Hawaii, now in California. Miss the nuances of Asian culture. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for the nod to Brooklyn’s Chinatown. As an SP resident I can vouch for the fresh and large variety of great produce and Fei Long. And my favorite part of the neighborhood is seeing the park fill up with colorful characters AND the farmer’s market there on Saturdays. Cheers!
